On Thursday 30th of May, the HyNetherlands team received a group at the ENGIE Eems site as part of a hydrogen tour in the Northern Netherlands, organized by New Energy Coalition. It was a mixed group of students and others interested in activities in the official hydrogen valley in the north.
Niek ten Bloemendal and Hayley Faber gave a presentation to elaborate on ENGIE’s activities in the Netherlands, with a particular focus on hydrogen. After the presentation, the attendants had the opportunity to visit the future HyNL site with the virtual reality experience. Some tried to beat the highscore of the ENGIE green hydrogen challenge, the hydrogen demonstration table made by vocational education students of FIRDA.
After having visited Groningen Seaports and ENGIE, the group continued their day at the Gasunie office in Groningen. All in all an insightful day with information and experiences throughout the whole hydrogen value chain.
