Pierre Devillers, Country Manager ENGIE Netherlands, together with Gasunie, RWE, Equinor and VoltH2, put his signature on a hydrogen pipeline during Wind meets Gas, the event in the northern Netherlands for hydrogen and offshore energy.
Together, we are exploring how Gasunie’s infrastructure can fulfill the desire to make hydrogen available across the country. This signature may be symbolic, but certainly not without obligation. This step is important for Gasunie to be able to take an investment decision next year, so that the infrastructure can be put into operation in the northern Netherlands from 2026, making ENGIE’s grand ambition to make hydrogen available throughout the Netherlands is coming ever closer.
The HyNetherlands project is a great example of ENGIE’s commitment to hydrogen. This cooperation reinforces that commitment. We are convinced that by really working together, we can realize the big tasks in the energy transition that lay ahead of us.
